Sec 2 Exp and NA :

• Part I:  Re-visit Solving Linear Equations.

• You may skip the part I  and complete worksheet 1 if you are competent in solving linear equation.
• Part II: Solving Quadratic Equations
• Complete worksheet 2.

Sec 2NT: 

• You just need to go through videos in part I of the learning package and complete worksheet 1.

Part Two : Solving Quadratic Equation

Solving Quadratic Equation by Factorisation

Note:

In example (g), the presenter factorised the quadratic expression by grouping which may seems unfamiliar to you. Please ignore this method and go ahead to factorise the expression by "cross-method" or "reverse FOIL method" that you have learnt in class. 

You could also simplify the equation by dividing by 2 throughout to give 3x^2 - x - 10 = 0 which is easier to factorise.
